Broskolan is beautifully situated in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, covering grades F-9, a leisure-time center (fritidshem), and three preschool departments. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to pedagogues, the school has functions such as school administration, student health services, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance. During the spring semester of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at increasing students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and staff regarding teaching and education.

The position is a fixed-term employment for a period of approximately 6 months, with a potential possibility of extension. The employment rate is 50 percent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will focus on students' knowledge in mathematics and language in lower and middle school, as well as opportunities for them to feel good and develop in school. This may include, among other things:

• Working in small groups with a smaller number of students
• Support teaching in mathematics and Swedish
• Simple assessments/evaluations
• Contact with parents

You will participate in the school's student health team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a special education teacher degree or another education/degree considered equivalent
• Master the Swedish language both orally and in writing
• Is a good colleague who, in close collaboration with other professionals, works to ensure that our students perceive learning in the activity as relevant, inspiring, joyful, and challenging

Experience working as a special education teacher in schools is considered an asset.
