We are now looking for a residential support worker to join our team at Bergsbacken/Långenäsvägen. We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a difference! This is a summer temporary position with the possibility of continued employment after the summer!
About Bergsbacken
Bergsbacken opened in March 2025 in completely new and fresh premises in Ulleberg, Karlstad.
At our LSS group home, Bergsbacken, in Karlstad, you should feel safe and included. We want to give you the opportunity to develop as a person, and our work is based on your wishes, needs, and prerequisites. We operate the facility in collaboration with Karlstad Municipality, which holds the right to all places.
Six individuals residing at Bergsbacken have been granted LSS Section 9 support, specifically housing with special service.
We are a small staff team of 9 people, and we are now looking for you who want to become part of our team for the summer of 2026.
About the role
As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documentation and planning based on implementation plans.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and for sleeping on-call duty.
You have a team leader or group manager close by who also works in the facility part of the time.
Your experience and knowledge
Experience working with our target group is meritorious. However, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right personality traits, we will provide you with support and the opportunity to grow.
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
You have knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, computer skills, and experience with documentation.
At Nytida, we are constantly developing. Here, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
What you get with us:
- Competence development through our own training organization, Lära
- Benefits portal with discounts and offers
- Leadership-trained managers close to you
- A common pedagogy to provide the best care and support for our users
- Career and development opportunities
- Collective agreement
