About the workplace

32nd Garrison Battalion is a support function within the Helicopter Wing and part of the wartime unit 3rd Air Wing. The battalion includes functions for logistics, healthcare, and education, with its main operational location in Linköping. The battalion consists largely of civilian employees and carries out tasks throughout the entire conflict spectrum.

32nd Garrison Battalion is a workplace under development, where new functions, units, and tasks are added over time.

Main responsibilities

As a Planning Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with long-term planning. In your role, you will act as the "hub" regarding the long-term planning of the unit's operations and coordinate with the battalion's various units. As a member of the battalion's staff, you represent not only your specific function but are primarily a staff member. In your role as a staff member, you participate in the staff's ongoing work and support matters concerning education, exercises, unit development, studies, and other decided planning activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Category B driver's license
• Very good IT skills
• Excellent ability to work independently across multiple areas and develop own tasks
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Work experience in one or more of the areas; planning, reporting, or logistics

Meritorious qualifications

• Previous experience of staff work or processing within the Swedish Armed Forces
• Completed basic military training

Personal qualities

We are looking for you who are security-conscious and responsible, with a good ability to structure your work. You have a good ability to see the big picture, make priorities, and take initiative based on the needs of the operations. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and clear in your communication, and have the ability to build trust in your collaboration with other people. It is also important that you have a good ability to plan and conduct work meetings.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and sea operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally. Helicopter support is in demand by many, for example for personnel, material, or medical transports, command, reconnaissance, or guard duties. The Helicopter Wing therefore often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.
