Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is a big task. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for a Surveying Manager for our construction operations in Stockholm. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your Role as Surveying Manager
In the role of Surveying Manager at Svevia, you coordinate the surveying work and survey technicians in the projects. You maintain close dialogue with site managers and project managers and are responsible for ensuring that the surveying work is carried out in accordance with contract documents, company guidelines, and requirements. Other colleagues in the site organization are typically Foremen, Project Engineers, and skilled workers.
The duties involve conducting your own surveying work in the projects, combined with handling data in various digital systems.
Examples of common tasks include:
- Setting out, surveying, and quantity management in construction projects
- Control and calibration of surveying equipment
- Preparation of as-built drawings, machine control data, and quality certificates
- Supporting the surveying organization in matters related to quantity regulation (AMA, MER)
- Involvement in tendering work
During the projects, you handle changes and create new construction models. You also provide support in measurement issues and make decisions on surveying methods. At Svevia, we have a network for our Surveying Managers and Survey Technicians, where continuous development is a priority. You can be an important part of this, both gaining and contributing knowledge.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you with a technical education focused on surveying technology from a university or university college, or alternatively, several years of industry experience in the role of Survey Technician or Surveying Manager.
You need to be able to handle a total station and GPS instruments and have an interest in technical development. You have experience with surveying work in quantity-regulated projects and can independently prepare as-built drawings.
A B-class driver's license and good Swedish skills in both speech and writing are required.
As a person, you are confident in taking personal responsibility for the surveying in your project. You collaborate easily with others and have a habit of checking and quality-assuring your work. You have a structured working method and can plan and communicate your and others' work. We believe you are also driven by the desire to influence and develop technical advancements.
Part of Something Bigger
With well-knit work teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. We do this by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, the state, and municipalities. Additionally, we break new ground and pave the way for water and sewer networks, wind power parks, and development areas. We also have special units within foundation work and soil remediation. Together with Svevia's other operations in road maintenance and paving, you become a vital cog in a larger societal machine. This opens up new opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we strive to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, it is easy to influence, and to have your voice heard.
We have career paths for you whether you want to become a manager and leader or develop in your current professional role. We create success as a team. This is how we do business and generate results. This is how we make cities and the countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
Application and Information
You apply easily by sending in your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting in a quality-assured, inclusive, and unbiased manner. Therefore, we do not want a cover letter.
Submit your application as soon as possible and no later than June 8.
