We are looking for a Fitter/Production Worker in the Gothenburg area

We are currently looking for a fitter/production worker for our client just outside Gothenburg. The company works with rental and sales of containers, specially produced and customised container solutions, as well as terminal operations.

The job is scheduled during daytime hours, 07:00–15:30. The selection process is ongoing, so the position may be filled before the application deadline.

About the role

As a fitter with our client, you will work with assembly, conversion, and finishing of larger modular solutions made from shipping containers. The job involves tasks such as welding, cutting, and grinding, requiring significant physical effort. You should have experience with welding (MIG/MAG/TIG) and be able to perform both heavy-duty welding and fine welding. Since much of the information and instructions are handled via terminals, computer literacy is a plus.

Main responsibilities

• Assembly, conversion, and finishing of modular solutions in containers.
• Welding (MIG/MAG/TIG), cutting, and grinding.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and technical documentation.
• Work with sheet metal and steel.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with previous experience in construction, assembly, and/or manufacturing of larger products. You should have knowledge of welding and be able to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation. It is advantageous if you can handle various types of tools, such as cutting, grinding, and welding equipment.

You are a person who is structured, orderly, and has a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. You have a desire to contribute to the development and efficiency of working methods and have the ability to take initiative.

Requirements for the position

• Previous experience in assembly, construction, and manufacturing – preferably of larger products.
• Experience with welding (MIG/MAG/TIG) as well as sheet metal and steel work.
• Ability to handle various types of tools (cutting, welding, grinding).
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and other technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
