Job Description

We have several system development teams working with the development and maintenance of business-critical systems. These systems support central processes in the operations and have many users in daily operations. We are in an expansive phase and want to strengthen competence in the testing area.

As a tester, you will be part of a system development team working with both new development and maintenance of applications. In the team, you collaborate daily with roles such as system developers, system architects, requirements analysts, UX designers, and Scrum Masters.

You also work closely with other testers to develop and improve testing work and contribute to common working methods within the organization. There are good opportunities to influence how testing and quality assurance are conducted.

We work agilely and strive for close collaboration with the business and end-users to ensure that solutions meet both requirements and actual needs.

Qualifications

For the role of tester/test leader, we are looking for you who work well with other people and can relate to them in a listening manner. You take responsibility for your tasks, initiate activities, and structure your own approach to drive your processes forward and achieve results. Furthermore, you are guided by goal- and result-oriented thinking in prioritizations, planning, and actions, while also being able to adapt to changed circumstances.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in a relevant subject area such as computer science, systems science, or similar, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
• Several years of work experience as a tester in development teams
• Experience in planning, conducting, and following up on tests, writing and maintaining test cases, and working systematically with testing
• Good knowledge of testing methodology and experience with testing in agile development processes
• Basic understanding of system development
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

The following are also meritorious:

• Education in test automation
• Education in agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
• Certification in testing, e.g., ISTQB
• Experience with test automation in practice
• Experience in setting up or developing test strategy/test processes
• Experience in test leadership or coordination of testing work
• Experience working in larger organizations or agencies
• Experience with complex systems with many integrations
• Knowledge of test automation (e.g., Playwright)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and how tests are integrated into pipelines
• Knowledge of testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of both manual testing and test automation
• Knowledge of API testing
