At Cirkus Arena, gastronomy, culture, music, and people meet in one of Stockholm's most dynamic destination environments. Here, world-class experiences are created – from concerts and live productions to corporate events, gala dinners, and grand celebrations. The pace is fast, the ambitions even higher, and food always plays a central role in the overall experience.

Located on the beautiful Djurgården island, amidst some of Stockholm's most iconic attractions, Cirkus Arena offers a unique workplace where creativity, quality, and service are at the center.

We are now looking for two Sous Chefs who want to help develop our kitchen team and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

What does your workday look like?

As a Sous Chef, you work closely with the Head Chef and are a key figure in the daily operations of the kitchen. You lead the team during service and ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen maintains high quality – both in taste and presentation.

The operations range from à la carte service and event dinners to large-scale productions and exclusive arrangements. No two days are alike, requiring both flexibility and a genuine passion for cooking and service.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working in both hot and cold kitchens, and participating in prep and service

  • Leading and inspiring the kitchen team during service

  • Ensuring quality, presentation, and adherence to routines

  • Planning orders and purchases together with the Head Chef

  • Contributing to menu development and business planning

  • Ensuring order, structure, and hygiene routines in the kitchen

  • Collaborating closely with other departments to create a top-tier guest experience

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends according to a rotating schedule.

Who thrives here?

We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven, and confident in their leadership. You have a genuine interest in gastronomy and enjoy working in an environment where the pace is sometimes fast, but quality is never compromised.

You are solution-oriented, structured, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. At the same time, you are a team player who values collaboration and contributes to a positive work environment.

We would appreciate if you have:

  • Experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role

  • Experience from an à la carte restaurant and preferably event operations

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

  • A strong interest in food, drink, and development

  • The ability to give and receive feedback constructively

  • An eye for detail, structure, and quality

Previous experience with large-scale event or arena operations is a plus.

What do we offer?

With us, you have the opportunity to work in a creative and inspiring environment alongside dedicated colleagues and strong brands within the hospitality industry.

We offer:

  • Opportunities for growth within a expanding business

  • A dynamic workplace with varied events and service

  • Collective agreement and competitive terms

  • Wellness allowance

  • A work environment where ideas, quality, and collaboration are highly valued

The positions are full-time, permanent, with an initial 6-month probationary period.

Are you interested?

Please submit your CV by June 5th. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Don't wait to apply!

We look forward to welcoming you to the team!

Cirkus Arena is part of Miramis, a group with hotels, restaurants, and arenas in Italy and Sweden. What we build is about experiences and meetings. We believe joy can arise in many different contexts – at a rock concert, during an evening walk, at a memorable dinner, or in an unexpected meeting in a small fishing village. We develop by listening – to guests and employees – and by understanding the place's history and heritage. There are no solutions that fit all. Every place, every guest, and every day is unique.

Today, Miramis owns five properties along the southern coast of Tuscany and owns or operates four more in Stockholm. What unites them is the connection to the place. Every project carries a social and cultural heritage that we build upon – with creative energy, contemporary design, local engagement, and a sustainable approach to hospitality.

Sustainability thinking is a given for us and something we actively work with in all areas. In 2022, together with our friends at Djurgården, we received the prestigious “Green Destination Award” from the organization “Green Destinations”. This was due to the successful sustainability work that Djurgården conducts regarding, among other things, environment and climate, culture and tradition, social sustainability, and hospitality. We see this fine award as both a confirmation and inspiration to continue our important sustainability work in the future.

Here you can find a video about the Royal National City Park's sustainability work.
