Who are we?

We are Health and Medical Care Unit 1, focusing on home care, home rehabilitation, and functional support/psychiatry. In total, we are 18 nurses and 10 occupational therapists, of which the functional support team consists of 4 nurses and 2 occupational therapists. The functional support team works with, among other things, LSS group housing, psychiatric residences, individuals with severe mental illness, often combined with substance abuse issues, as well as children's housing and individuals with personal assistance.

Responsibilities

You work independently, but never alone. Your mission is to be the stable nurse who stays over time. Your tasks include, among other things, conducting psychiatric and somatic assessments. You perform follow-ups on physical and mental health, medications, and side effects. You are responsible for medication management and documentation, administer vaccinations according to the current vaccination program, and mentor, educate, and support nursing staff. You also have contact with and provide support to relatives, and collaborate with other actors such as psychiatry, primary care, social services, etc. During evenings and weekends, work is performed towards the municipality's special housing and home care.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, where you work 2 weekends and approximately 4 weekday evenings over a 12-week period. On-call shifts occur, where two nurses work and are responsible for the municipality's health and medical care, LSS, and special housing.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with an interest in psychiatry, addiction, alcohol issues, and functional support. We would like you to have experience working in regional psychiatry, addiction care, or outpatient care. To succeed in the position, you need to be confident in your assessment skills and independent in your work; you need good collaboration skills and a professional approach.

A specialist education in psychiatry is meritorious. A B-driver's license and good computer and documentation skills are required.
