About Us Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We assist patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions and diseases. We also provide personal assistance services. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik, Solna, where old barracks premises are combined with new living quarters, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and educational activities, as well as well-developed teamwork. We also operate a clinic focused on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Primary Care, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care wards, Basic Home Healthcare, and Uppsala Urgent Care.

The Role We are looking for a personal assistant for a man in his 70s who uses a wheelchair and has a spinal cord injury. As a personal assistant, your duties will include supporting and helping him with his daily life, such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, cooking, cleaning, and accompanying him to activities and excursions. The client speaks for himself and lives with his wife.

Working hours are scheduled during the day and evenings, 08:00–15:00 and 15:00–22:00. Requirement: You must have a driver's license for this position. The work is located on Södermalm at the client's home during the winter, and during the summer (approx. 8 weeks) on an island in the archipelago outside Vaxholm. The easiest way to get there is by the Vaxholm ferry, which runs quite frequently during the summer. Currently, we are looking for a substitute who can step in on an as-needed basis until summer. During the summer, there is an opportunity to work on a fixed schedule with approx. 2–3 shifts per week. Thereafter, heading into autumn, you may be offered a fixed rotation of approx. 25% plus as-needed work.

About You We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, loyal, and receptive. You value providing high-quality care and service. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have well-developed intuition and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work. Background You are a person with a strong interest in working with people. This role requires previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or within healthcare and social care. A requirement for this position is that you have excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Requirement: Non-smokers only.
