Folkuniversitetet is looking for a summer substitute as a Job and Education Coach for Korta vägen in Uppsala during the summer of 2026.

Korta vägen is a labor market training program commissioned by the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), focusing on supporting participants towards employment or further studies. The role involves working closely with participants through coaching, guidance, and coordination throughout the course.

About the assignment

We are currently seeking an individual for a fixed-term summer substitute position of approximately four weeks during the summer of 2026.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Individual coaching conversations
• Support towards employment and studies
• Motivational work and participant support
• Monitoring participant progress
• Collaboration with teachers and other staff
• Documentation and administration related to the assignment

Qualifications

To be considered for the role, you must meet the Swedish Public Employment Service's requirements for a Job and Education Coach:

• An academic education comprising at least two years of full-time studies (equivalent to at least 120 ECTS credits)
• At least one (1) year of documented professional experience in coaching conversations, equivalent to at least 50% of full-time work
• The experience must be within the last three (3) years

• Has experience in motivating and coaching individuals towards employment or studies
• Is confident in conducting individual guidance and coaching conversations
• Works systematically with documentation and follow-up
• Has good collaboration skills and a professional attitude
• Thrives in a participant-focused role

• Adult education
• Labor market measures
• Study and career guidance is considered an advantage.

Scope

Fixed-term summer substitute position of approximately four weeks during the summer of 2026. Exact weeks and scope to be agreed upon.
