About the position

ME Radiopharmacy within the Medical Diagnostics function at Karolinska is responsible for the production and preparation of radioactively labeled sterile medicines for clinical patient diagnostics within PET and SPECT, as well as for several research areas. The operation consists of approximately 30 employees working with manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, and equipment service.

The operation is located at New Karolinska Solna (NKS), where work is carried out in one of Europe's largest and most advanced radiopharmacy laboratories. Here you will find, among other things, two cyclotrons and several equipment units for drug synthesis, as well as advanced equipment for the manufacturing and quality control of our products.

You will belong to the Production Section, which is responsible for the daily deliveries of radiopharmaceuticals to customers within Region Stockholm. Your main tasks will include preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, as well as troubleshooting and investigation cases. You will also participate in the development of routines and documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Work with the production of radiopharmaceuticals may also become relevant.

Since the demand for our radiopharmaceuticals is high in the mornings, the working day starts early. Probationary employment may be applied in this recruitment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree or civil engineer in a relevant field, such as chemical engineering or medical technology, or alternatively vocational training in a relevant field such as operations and maintenance engineer or another field deemed equivalent by the employer
• experience in service and maintenance of equipment
• competence and experience in IT/data

Merits:

• experience working in radiochemistry and/or radiopharmaceutical production with a cyclotron
• experience working in GMP-regulated operations
• experience working with or in close proximity to aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing
