About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Developer who wants to take ownership of the entire stack – from bootloader and Yocto to how functionality is exposed to the application layer.

This is not a role where you "just code" – you build real systems.

You will:

• Take raw hardware → build a stable Linux system (Yocto)
• Work closely with drivers and HW (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
• Design robust integration with Java (DBus, sockets, REST)
• Drive security (Secure Boot, TLS, OTA) – a prioritized area

👉 You will become the technical bridge between hardware and application, and a key person in future product platforms.

We are looking for you who have strong competence in

Embedded Linux & Yocto

• In-depth experience with Yocto / BitBake
• Build, customize, and debug Linux systems
• Understanding of the boot chain (bootloader → kernel → rootfs)

Hardware-near development

• Strong in C/C++
• Experience with:
• SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO
• Knowledge of:
• Device Tree
• Drivers
• Accustomed to debugging close to hardware

Integration & system design

• Expose functionality via:
• DBus, sockets, REST, JNI
• Design stable interfaces between Native and Java

Cyber Security

• TLS, certificates
• Secure Boot
• Secure OTA updates

Meritorious:

• Key management
• Data/database encryption
• Secure system design

Important technical areas you will work with

• NFC
• Ethernet
• Cellular modem (LTE/4G/5G)
• Memory management

• Is used to working "from the bottom up" – close to hardware
• Has built systems, not just components
• Likes to solve complex problems
• Has a strong technical drive and takes responsibility for the whole
