Do you want to be part of developing digital solutions that truly make a difference in socially important operations? As a System Administrator at us, you will have a central role where you drive improvements, create structure, and build bridges between operations, IT, and suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
As a System Administrator, you contribute to systems functioning stably and being used correctly. You drive the operational administration of your systems, carry out planned activities, and capture the needs of the operations. You work closely with your System Administrator colleague and are jointly responsible for a unified and efficient system administration.
The role also includes:
- planning, implementing, and following up on system administration plans together with system owners and technical system administrators
- leading the operational administration work, coordinating relevant roles, and creating dialogue with users, super-users, and suppliers
- being the contact person for system suppliers, IT Service, and users, as well as working with support issues and contract follow-ups
- capturing needs and coordinating changes, upgrades, tests, and validation of the system's functions
- ensuring current user support, manuals, routines, system documentation, permission routines, and lifecycle management
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education or equivalent experience in areas such as IT, digital systems, information management, or operational development. You should have at least 2 years of experience in administering, managing, or further developing IT/business systems in close collaboration with operations, IT, and suppliers. You need to have experience in describing consequences and coordinating tests during changes or updates.
To succeed in the role, you need to understand how systems, integrations, operations, upgrades, and support are connected in practice. The role is not a pure technical operations role. It requires good IT maturity and the ability to translate operational needs into functional and sustainable solutions.
You also have good knowledge of data protection, information management, and permission management, as well as good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- supplier and contract understanding with experience of supplier dialogues and contract follow-ups
- experience of municipal or public operations
- experience of budget basis, cost follow-up, lifecycle management, contracts, or decommissioning of systems
To succeed in the role as a System Administrator, you enjoy collaborating and build good relationships through an attentive and clear way of communicating. You contribute to solutions that work for both the operations and the users, and you have the ability to analyze problems and find ways forward when conditions change. You take responsibility for your assignment and work independently by planning and structuring your work, ensuring that tasks are carried out with good quality.
We Offer You
You get a operation-close assignment in a management support function with broad contact surfaces. You work closely with an existing System Administrator, with a clear division of system responsibility and common ways of working. The role gives good insight into the administration's operations and the opportunity to contribute to stable and usable digital support.
Halmstad Municipality offers collective agreements, flextime, wellness benefits, the possibility of salary and vacation exchange, benefit bike/travel card, and leadership that values participation and trust.
Other Information
Interviews are planned between June 15 and 19.
