The Property Department, where the Administration Unit is one of five units, is responsible for Karlstad Municipality's buildings. Our mission is to be long-term property owners, contribute to the city's development, and create good environments for the people of Karlstad. The department delivers attractive, accessible, and sustainable premises to our tenants.

Job Responsibilities

Our property portfolio includes everything from cultural buildings and swimming pools to schools, care residences, and offices.

As a Premises Planner with us, you will be one of three key players in the work of proposing suitable premises solutions based on the needs of the operations. You will do this by collaborating with the operations, the Municipal Executive Office, other property owners, and colleagues.

The role is broad and varied, which means varied working days.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • be responsible for the entire process when a premises is rented in, i.e., everything from investigating incoming premises needs to the signing of a lease agreement.
  • be responsible for signing new, monitoring terminable, and renegotiating existing lease agreements.
  • write service reports and handle certain rent administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a few years of experience from and understanding of premises planning. If you also have experience from municipal operations or similar organizations and from writing lease agreements, we see this as meritorious. We see that you:

  • have drive and commitment as well as a burning interest in properties.
  • have the ability to create good relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills including Office programs.
  • have suitable education, for example as a property economist, and/or experience and knowledge of property economics and relevant rental law or equivalent knowledge that we assess as equal.
  • have good economic knowledge.
  • have a B driving license.
