Job Responsibilities

The flexible service means that you work flexibly across the entire clinic and rotate between our three operating units to maintain broad competence at each unit. You have a basic schedule, but as a staffing resource, you are placed where the need is greatest for the day. Here, you have the opportunity to broaden your skills while being an important part of the patient care team. You will collaborate closely with nurse assistants, anesthesia nurses, and doctors.

Working Hours

We offer work in our 24/7 operations with a time valuation model of 37 hours per week. Region Västmanland also provides higher compensation for inconvenient working hours to nurses, midwives, radiology nurses, and biomedical analysts.

Development Opportunities

About the Workplace

The Operating Clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are carried out at the hospital in Köping. The more extensive surgery, both emergency and elective, takes place in Västerås. The operating activities consist of surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms at the clinic, with four rooms in Köping and 18 rooms in Västerås.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a specialist nurse education with a focus on operating room care. A requirement for the position is that you have a few years of experience as an operating room nurse in emergency care. If you have also worked in the medical record system Cosmic or Orbit, we consider it meritorious. Since our work is often governed by documents in Swedish, you need to have good knowledge of the language, both spoken and written.

You who apply are secure and stable as a person. We see that you plan and structure your work, as well as that you can quickly reprioritize and adapt to changed circumstances when the situation requires it. You have a good ability to collaborate with others by listening and communicating in a clear and constructive manner.

Working hours: Schedule with rotation to day, evening, night, weekend

Location: Västerås

The flexible service includes an appointment for two years with an associated salary supplement. Start date by agreement.
