Two Parent Advisors for Preventive Work

Do you want to strengthen preventive work for children and families? We are now looking for two dedicated and competent parent advisors who wish to contribute to creating security, early support, and good living conditions for children and young people. The positions are part of our development work where we are testing new working methods in the transition to the new Social Services Act. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the preschool.

About the Role

As a parent advisor, you work with early and preventive interventions aimed at families with children. A central part of the assignment is to offer support, advice, and guidance to guardians through both individual conversations and group activities. The goal is to strengthen families' own resources and create good conditions for children's development and well-being.

In this role, you work closely with preschool operations and staff. You provide support and counseling in situations where there is concern about a child, and you contribute knowledge regarding interaction, approach, and possible interventions. You become an important support in assessments and contribute to increased security and shared understanding in the work with children and families.

The role also involves acting as a link between the preschool and the social services, where you contribute to increased collaboration, accessibility, and early interventions for families in need of support.

Special Assignment – One of the Positions

One of the positions also includes certain official authority duties. In this role, you will be able to make decisions on interventions within the social services so that families can quickly receive the right support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a secure person with the ability to listen and meet families based on their needs and circumstances. You value participation, see strengths, but are also attentive to support needs. The role requires you to be independent, solution-oriented, take initiative, and be driving in help processes. You are also confident in guiding and supervising staff.

As we are in a transition to the new Social Services Act, you need to be open, curious, and willing to test new working methods to develop the operations in the best way for children, young people, and their parents.

You who apply are a social worker or have a corresponding university degree with a behavioral science focus that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have good knowledge of the social services' tasks and organization, as well as other relevant societal systems. It is meritorious if you have experience of therapeutic or supportive work with the target group.

For the position with official authority duties, the following are required:

• Degree in Social Work
• Experience of working within the social services' children and youth operations
• Experience of official authority duties

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position includes some evening work, for example at parent meetings or other activities.
