Violence in intimate partner relationships is an urgent and multifaceted societal and public health issue affecting several actors. To prevent and combat violence in intimate relationships, including honour-based violence and oppression as well as prostitution, measures must be taken targeting different groups at various levels.

The strategic work regarding violence in intimate relationships is rooted in human rights and is based on the national gender equality goals as well as national and regional strategies to counteract violence in intimate relationships.

The position is a temporary assignment (vacancy cover) with the possibility of extension during the regular colleague's leave of absence.

Responsibilities

As a strategist in violence in intimate relationships, you will have a varied and exciting role where you will, among other things:

  • Drive violence prevention work and work strategically to reduce violence in intimate relationships.
  • Educate and supervise within the field, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor the external environment and ensure that we follow the latest guidelines and research.
  • Develop routines and guidelines that strengthen the work at both local and regional levels.
  • Participate in regional and national networks to exchange experiences and strengthen collaborations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Social Work (Social Work) or similar education that the employer deems relevant.
  • In-depth knowledge of violence in intimate relationships and honour-based violence and oppression.
  • Experience leading and working with projects and groups.
  • Experience working with violence in intimate relationships.

Other

A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement for employment as the work involves travel.
