Welcome to the Children and Young People Unit!

The Children and Young People Unit is responsible for processing cases concerning children and young people aged 0–21.

Here, we have 17 dedicated social workers, two team leaders, two administrators, and a unit manager. Together, we are a competent, experienced, and helpful team that values collaboration, security, and job satisfaction.

We are now expanding our unit with one additional social worker, and we are therefore looking for you who want to become part of our team and contribute with your commitment.

As a new social worker, you will receive a clear introduction and training tailored to your needs. You will also become part of "Yrkesresan" – a national initiative to strengthen the introduction and competence development for social workers within the children and young people sector.

Your role with us:

As a social worker with us, you will have a varied, meaningful, and developmental job where you can truly make a difference.

Your assignment involves:

• Investigating the needs of children and young people according to BBIC
• Proposing, following up, and evaluating interventions
• Collaborating closely with children, guardians, and networks
• Working together with colleagues and other professional actors
• Participating in development and improvement work.

Do you have a special area of interest within children and young people? We try to match your strengths and interests with the right assignment.

You work according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and other relevant legislation, and you receive close support from colleagues, team leaders, and management. Our administrator is also available to relieve you in daily work.

We also actively work on developing our methods to provide children and families with professional treatment and legally secure case processing. At our unit, Signs of Safety is a central method, where we collaborate closely with children, parents, and their networks. The focus is on trust, respect, and ensuring the child feels involved and understands what is happening.

At the same time, we adapt our operations to the new Social Services Act, which strengthens the child's perspective and provides greater opportunities for preventive and more accessible interventions. We look forward to continuing to develop our work and taking advantage of these opportunities.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in Social Work
• Have a professional and respectful approach
• Have a good ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and partners
• Work independently and in a structured manner
• Are receptive and thrive in collaboration

It is meritorious if you have experience of authority exercise within the target group, as well as if you have worked with BBIC and Signs of Safety.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
