About the Role of Technical Sales Representative

In the role of Technical Sales Representative, you are responsible for sales within an established district covering Stockholm, Southern Mälardalen, Östergötland, and parts of Värmland. The focus is primarily on developing existing customers within the machine shop and manufacturing industries, where you work long-term with advisory and technical sales of Mitutoyo's solutions and investment products.

You drive your business independently while having close support from colleagues, product specialists, and application engineers. The role involves a combination of customer visits, quotation work, and technical dialogue regarding customers' needs and applications. Travel and, to some extent, overnight stays are a natural part of the position.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and customer development within your own district.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing customers in the machine shop and manufacturing industries.
  • Identify customer needs and develop technical solutions together with internal specialists.
  • Work with quotation preparation, follow-up, and business development.
  • Plan and conduct customer visits within the district.

About You

To succeed in the role of Technical Sales Representative, we are looking for you who have experience in technical B2B sales and are confident in driving your own district with significant responsibility. You have a good technical understanding and thrive in dialogues where you need to familiarize yourself with customers' operations and applications. Furthermore, you have a technical education at the upper secondary and/or university level, hold a B driving license, and possess very good skills in Swedish and English.

You have a down-to-earth and trust-building approach where you create security in technical customer dialogues and build long-term relationships. You have inner drive and thrive in a free role where you plan, structure, and drive your business forward yourself. Furthermore, you are receptive and analytical, and value close collaboration with customers and colleagues to find the best solutions with a high business focus.

Important for the position:

  • Documented experience in technical B2B sales within either the machine shop or manufacturing industry.
  • Confident in driving your own district with significant responsibility.
  • Good technical understanding and ability to familiarize yourself with customers' applications.
  • Technical education at the upper secondary and/or university level.
  • B driving license.
  • Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in measurement technology or precision equipment.
  • Background in automation or industrial total solutions.
