The Infrastructure Department of the Technical Administration consists of three units: the execution unit, the operations unit, and the specialist unit.

The position is located within the execution unit, which carries out infrastructure projects such as roads and water/sewage (VA), as well as operation and maintenance of the VA pipe network. The unit also includes a workshop, a carpentry shop, and stone setting.

We are now looking for an infrastructure worker/pipefitter for a fixed-term position. We welcome your application!

Your role with us

You will work with varied tasks within infrastructure, focusing on VA (water and sewage) projects. The work is both practical and independent, performed within a team. Duties include, among other things, VA remediation in existing areas within Kristianstad Municipality. Operation and maintenance of water and sewage systems are also part of the role.

On-call duty may be included in the position.

Who are we looking for?

You have education in a relevant field and/or at least 3 years of professional experience that the employer considers equivalent/relevant. We prefer that you have a few years of practical experience in the infrastructure industry. You must be able to independently interpret and work from drawings. A Class B driver's license for manual transmission is required, and we prefer that you also hold a BE license and a Class C license.

It is an advantage if you additionally have education/certificate/license in any of the following:

  • Professional competence certificate as an infrastructure worker
  • Loader certificate
  • EBR
  • ESA
  • Safe excavation
  • Work on the road
  • Plastic welding

We are looking for someone who is flexible yet meticulous, and who can work both independently and in a team. To thrive in this role, you need to be responsible, proactive, and able to find solutions. You treat colleagues, contractors, and our citizens with respect and courtesy.

If offered employment, you will need to order and present an extract from the police criminal record.

The Technical Committee, through the Technical Administration, is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the municipality's public spaces and buildings. The Committee is also responsible for municipal water and sewage supply (VA) and is the road maintenance authority for municipal roads.
