About the role

In the production kitchen, we prepare all meals for patients staying at the hospital. We cook almost all food from scratch, using local suppliers and producers to increase Jämtland's food security.

We work every weekday during daytime hours only, which often leaves time to enjoy family and friends in the evenings and on weekends. The work can be physically demanding as we prepare 900–1,500 meals per day. We produce chilled meal boxes, meaning attention to detail and following recipes are crucial.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals from scratch.
Prepare production for the following day.
Cleaning.
Dishwashing.
Other common tasks in a large-scale kitchen.

Qualifications

Culinary education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
Experience with special diets is an advantage.
Knowledge of hygiene and HACCP.
Knowledge of kitchen mathematics.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
