We are now looking for a manufacturing consultant for our client's operations in Gothenburg. The company operates within the automotive industry and focuses on development and prototypes for heavy vehicles. Here you will have the opportunity to work in an innovative environment where you will help develop and manufacture components for future vehicle solutions!
About the role
As a consultant specializing in manufacturing, you will work in an engaged team of approximately 20 employees. The role involves working with various manufacturing processes related to prototypes and small series. You will handle advanced equipment and work with methods such as waterjet cutting, sheet metal processing, machine bending, and related tasks.
You will work closely with designers and other functions, having the opportunity to be involved in the entire process – from idea to finished component. In the team, you help each other and drive the work forward together, with a focus on quality and development.
The position is a consultancy role with daytime working hours and the possibility of flexible working hours. Start date is by agreement. Both Swedish and English are used in the workplace, meaning you need to feel comfortable with both languages. Travel may occur during certain periods.
Responsibilities
As a manufacturing consultant, you will work broadly with various tasks within production. Your main responsibilities include:
- Waterjet cutting and material processing
- Sheet metal processing and machine bending (press brake)
- Welding work and other manufacturing methods
- Handling and setting up manufacturing machines
- Reading drawings and producing components
- Quality assurance and control of manufactured parts
- Active participation in improvement work and process development
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in manufacturing and a strong technical interest. You are a quick learner, detail-oriented, and thrive in a practical role where you get to work with various tasks and machines.
You are a solution-oriented person who takes initiative and contributes to the team's development. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and have a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Key requirements for the role:
- Experience in manufacturing within industry or workshop settings
- Knowledge of waterjet cutting, sheet metal processing, and machine bending
- Experience working with machines such as waterjet cutters, press brakes, and welding equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits for the role:
- Experience from the automotive industry
- Knowledge in prototype manufacturing
- Experience with various welding methods
- Experience with CAD documentation
