At Bankgirot, you work with the systems that keep Sweden's payment flows running – every day. We are now looking for two Monitoring & Observability Engineers who want to help further develop the observability platform in a complex on-prem environment.

About the role

As a Monitoring & Observability Engineer, you will become part of the team that further develops Bankgirot's centralized observability platform. The foundation is already in place with tools like Grafana, but the next step is about building the right data collection and creating a more proactive and scalable observability capability for the entire organization.

This is a role for you who likes to build solutions in an environment where much is still being shaped. You will work hands-on with development according to industry standards and long-term with significant impact on technology, workflows, and platform development, in close collaboration with development, operations, infrastructure, and security.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Build and further develop agentless solutions for metrics, logs, and traces.

• Develop the observability platform in Grafana and similar tools.

• Create dashboards, alerts, and notification flows.

• Automate recurring operations and monitoring processes.

• Work with troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident management.

• Advise and support technical groups in setting up observability monitoring.

At Bankgirot, we believe in T-shaped competence – you have a broad technical foundation within areas such as infrastructure, operations, or platform work, and at the same time a clear specialization in observability, monitoring, or automation.

You have experience with tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, or similar platforms and understand how metrics, logs, and traces are used to create better insights in complex environments. We would like you to also have experience with Linux, Windows, or containerized environments as well as automation through tools such as Ansible or similar. If you have experience with scripting in Bash, Python, or JavaScript, it is a plus. As a person, you are analytical, solution-oriented, and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces where collaboration is crucial.

Security clearance

Security clearance will be conducted for the role before employment in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) – a natural part of the responsibility to safeguard the security of Sweden's payment system.

Other information

The position is a permanent position based in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. Start date by agreement. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
