Your responsibilities
As a Project Buyer within Siemens Energy's Project Procurement organization, you are responsible for procurement within the scope of projects and serve as a central function in the supply chain. You will become part of an engaged team with both junior and senior colleagues, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement are a natural part of everyday life. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with both internal functions and external suppliers worldwide.
You work according to established processes but also handle more complex and time-critical matters. The tasks include, among other things:
- Negotiating and handling project-specific purchase orders based on established terms, price lists, and contracts
- Ensuring compliance with the company's procurement policies, guidelines, and routines
- Managing and developing supplier relationships and ensuring structured and professional communication
- Monitoring delivery precision and handling delivery deviations that may affect operations
- Working closely with projects, engineering, logistics, and other procurement functions
- Driving and participating in improvement work within procurement processes and supply chain
- Preparing and administering purchase orders in SAP
- Actively contributing to Siemens Energy's digital transformation journey
Your profile
We are looking for you who have experience in procurement and thrive in an international and changing environment. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for your supplier base and have a good understanding of both the commercial and economic aspects of procurement work.
To succeed in the role, we see that you:
- Have a good ability to build and develop long-term relationships with both colleagues and suppliers
- Are communicative, confident in negotiations, and have a good ability to influence and collaborate
- Are analytical, solution-oriented, and structured with the ability to prioritize and achieve set goals
- Are flexible and adaptable to changing business and customer needs
- Have experience working in SAP
- Fluently speak and write Swedish and English
