Our Operations

Here, you will be part of a dedicated team within the Gastroenterology Section, which belongs to the Department of Medicine, Dermatology and Rheumatology.

We perform approximately 5,500 endoscopic examinations annually. Our procedures include gastroscopy, colonoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, and PEG insertion. We receive patients from all over the country and also consultative patients from other clinics at Akademiska sjukhuset for examination and treatment.

Your Role

As a nurse at the Endoscopy Clinic, you will become an important part of our team, which consists of doctors from both medical and surgical specialties, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Your duties include preparing for and assisting with various endoscopic examinations, sample collection and handling, as well as administrative tasks such as telephone advice, handling 1177 inquiries, and patient summons. You will also manage equipment care and assist with ERCP examinations and endoscopies under anesthesia on the operating department.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish nursing license. It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience in the profession, but it is not a requirement. We value qualities such as curiosity, technical interest, and the ability to work independently and take initiative. You enjoy working in a team and find it easy to collaborate with others. Since our operations involve both planned and emergency cases, it is important that you are flexible and can adapt your work pace.

Your Competence

You have a good approach towards both patients and colleagues and always put the patient at the center. We highly value personal suitability and would like to see that you are positive, contribute to a good work environment, and can work both independently and in a team.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent position at 100%, with start date as agreed. Probationary employment may apply.
