ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Production Technician at Volvo CE, you will become part of the pre-assembly department – the unit that delivers critical components to the main line. The pace here is fast and precision is vital: a new cabin rolls off the line every eight minutes, and it is your job to ensure that the flow in pre-assembly runs flawlessly.

You work "close to the floor" and act as the link between the operators' daily routine and the technical processes. Instead of just sitting at a desk, you are out in the production area, listening to improvement suggestions and solving problems as they arise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Improve and develop production processes with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
• Work with time studies, calculations, assembly instructions, and design changes
• Collaborate cross-functionally between different departments to solve supplier-related issues and secure processes during the introduction of new components
• Ensure correct preparations and data through active work in the business system SAP
• Capture ideas from production staff and translate them into practical improvements in daily operations
• Lead and participate in investment projects within automation, robotics, and digitalization
• Contribute to the work towards fossil-free and circular production using smart data systems and digital twins

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Hold a university or college degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• Have experience in production technology in manufacturing industry
• Have knowledge of SAP or similar business systems
• Have good proficiency in Swedish and English

It is not a requirement, but considered a merit if you:

• Have experience with Industry 4.0/5.0 implementations
• Are accustomed to working with digital twin technology, traceability, or connected systems
