Meals is a business unit within the Service sector in Ulricehamn Municipality. The mission is to serve meals to all preschool and school students, as well as to individuals assessed for support in special housing, group homes, or their own homes. Today, there are 34 kitchens included in the food service operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a pool cook, you will have a varied and developmental job where no two days are alike. You will handle all common kitchen tasks, such as cooking, serving, dishwashing, self-control checks, and ordering. Some days you will work independently in a smaller preschool kitchen, and other days you will become part of a larger kitchen team.

As a pool cook, you work in kitchens throughout Ulricehamn Municipality, which means you need to enjoy variety and be able to adapt to the needs of the different operations. The role suits you if you appreciate a mobile job and enjoy meeting new workplaces and colleagues.

We are seeking employees for two different positions. One position involves daytime work, Monday to Friday. The other includes working every fourth weekend and suits you if you prefer having weekdays off. Travel between workplaces is done by personal car and compensated according to the current mileage allowance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained cook or have other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience working in a large kitchen or restaurant and feel confident working according to current food hygiene routines. A Category B driver's license and access to a personal car are required for the position.

You have a service-oriented attitude, remain calm even during periods of high tempo, and have good communication skills with both colleagues and guests.

In Ulricehamn Municipality, we see language skills and diversity as an asset. However, to perform the work in a safe and secure manner, you must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
