Job Description

The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and a key part of the solution is ensuring that energy can be transported efficiently from producer to consumer.

Within AFRY Transmission Lines, we are around 90 consultants, including some of the industry's most experienced specialists in power lines. Our strong position in the industry is built on a unique combination of long experience, high technical competence, and the ability to work throughout the entire project chain. This covers everything from early studies and permitting processes to design, construction, technical consulting, and project management in large and complex power grid projects.

Our customers are primarily Swedish electricity grid companies, but we also work with other players in the energy sector, such as wind and solar power. We work with the technical design of both overhead lines and underground cables within regional and national grids, contributing to strengthening future electricity infrastructure.

We are currently in an expansion phase and are therefore looking for additional power line designers, power line constructors, and project leaders for Transmission Lines for both overhead, underground, and submarine cables. With us, you will play a key role in some of the most socially important power grid projects in the Nordics. The location is flexible given the right competence, but it is an advantage if you are close to one of our offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Karlstad, Trollhättan, Malmö, Värnamo, or Östersund.

Qualifications

Must-have Requirements:

• Several years of industry experience from the design, construction, or contracting of power lines within regional and/or national grids.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, as the language is used frequently both within AFRY and with our customers.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with ICEtow and/or PLS-CADD.
• Experience with electrical design (e.g., grounding design and calculation of electric and magnetic fields (EMF)).
• Experience with AMA.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, Civil 3D, or similar CAD programs (model management and/or drawing work).
• Experience with BIM and/or ArcGIS.
• Training in BAS-P and/or BAS-U.
• Experience with foundation design.
• Experience in preparing and/or reviewing tender documents.
• Experience in the consulting industry.
• Experience in contracting.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Since the position may involve working in security-classified areas, drug testing and security checks may be required before employment can commence.
