We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented Data Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment within the public sector and public transport in Stockholm.

The assignment runs from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role offers up to 50% remote work.

You will join a modern Data & Analytics organization focused on developing future data-driven working methods and analytical capabilities. The team works agilely and closely with the business to create scalable and sustainable solutions within data, analytics, and AI.

In this role, you will work in a domain-oriented team where you are responsible for both new development and further development of existing solutions in a modern Azure-based analytics platform. You will collaborate closely with the business and actively contribute to knowledge sharing, improved working methods, and technical development.

• Develop and maintain data and analytics solutions in an Azure environment
• Design and implement data integrations between different systems and platforms
• Work with ETL/ELT processes and data transformations
• Manage and model complex datasets for analysis and reporting
• Develop solutions in Microsoft Azure Synapse, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Work with Python development in Apache Spark Notebooks
• Ensure information security in connection with implementations
• Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and technical guidelines
• Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders
• Contribute to knowledge dissemination and technical coaching within the team

• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience in developing organization-wide data and analytics platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with data integrations in cloud-based analytics platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with ETL/ELT processes, of which at least 1 year in a cloud environment
• Experience with Python development in Apache Spark Notebooks
• Experience with dimensional modeling
• Experience working in agile development teams
• Good understanding of information security and data quality

• Experience with semantic modeling in Power BI or Azure Analysis Services
• Experience with Microsoft on-premises environments such as SQL Server and/or Power BI Report Server
• Experience with performance optimization in Spark engines or semantic models in Fabric/Power BI
