About the position

I am a happy and social 23-year-old guy living in Hägersten. I have a cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair. I do not speak, but I communicate using signs, sounds, and Blissymbolics. As a personal assistant, you are expected to be my arms and legs, which means you will help me with daily chores such as cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, showering, and other personal hygiene tasks.

My interests include music, especially dance band music. It is not a requirement that we share this interest, but it is an advantage if you enjoy listening to music as I do often. I also enjoy traveling with Viking Line and visiting relatives in Gothenburg, and we visit Böda Camping every year. This means that work-related travel occurs. I also attend day activities four days a week between 9 am and 3 pm, where I bring my assistant with me.

One position is a part-time job of approximately 70%, and the other is a temporary hourly position for work on an as-needed basis and during the absence of regular staff.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 08:15-16:00/17:00/18:00,
• 16:00-21:00/22:00,
• 17:00-23:00,
• 12:00-21:00.
• 22:00/23:00-08:00. There is approx. 7.5 hours of waiting time/night.
• Double assistance occurs.

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

Requirements:

• Fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing,
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and different types of transfers,
• Flexible availability and ability to work all times of the day,
• Non-smoker.

Merits:

• Experience working as a personal assistant or within care and social services,
• Experience communicating using Blissymbolics.

Scope: 1 part-time position of approx. 70%, 1 extra/on-call. Number of positions: 2. Start date: Immediately, by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both certificates from the criminal record register and the suspicion register.
