We are looking for a Design Engineer for our client, where you will work to support the continued operation of Swedish-made passenger aircraft. These are twin-engine turboprop aircraft with seating for 34 and 50 passengers respectively. Today, our client maintains a flying fleet around the world, and as a design engineer for these, you will support operators in the continued operation of the aircraft. The role of Design Engineer offers a challenging and developmental opportunity to combine independent work with close collaboration in a team. In this position, you will work on structural repairs, design, and analysis for these aircraft. You will also provide technical support to engineering teams by answering questions and assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications related to the aircraft structures. Depending on your personal preferences and competence, there are good opportunities to broaden your role and develop further within the organization. Main responsibilities:
- Design structural repairs and modifications to ensure airworthiness and compliance with current aviation regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain structural integrity and adhere to relevant standards and certification requirements.
- Contribute technical expertise and support to engineering teams, as well as handle complex issues and technical challenges.
- Lead tasks and projects within various technical areas, with a primary focus on structural design and analysis.
- Travel may occur in connection with projects and customer support.
- An education of at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by work experience from a similar role or operational work in production.
- Good proficiency in Office 365.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Experience in structural design from the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of CATIA V4 and/or V5.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes.
