About me:

I am an 18-year-old guy living with my mom and younger brother in Gävle. I have personal assistance around the clock, which allows me to live an independent life with family, friends, hobbies, and day activities.

During the day, I work at a day activity center, and in my free time, I enjoy taking walks, swimming, hanging out with friends, participating in activities, and relaxing in front of the TV. I am an active person who appreciates both social gatherings and quieter moments at home.

As my assistant, you are an important part of my daily life and enable me to live my life on my own terms.

About the position:

We are currently looking for an employee for a 50% temporary position. The position includes both daytime work and awake night shifts. It is an advantage if you can step in extra during sickness and holidays.

The temporary position runs until August, with good opportunities for extension for the right person.

We are looking for you who are responsible, flexible, and enjoy working independently during night hours. You are secure in your role and find it easy to collaborate when needed.

Requirements for employment:

To be employed, you must present a valid ID, a certificate of good conduct (personbevis), any documents proving the right to work in Sweden, and an extract from the police record. This can be ordered at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se). Choose the extract titled Work with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include support in daily life, such as:

• Personal care and close personal needs
• Communication in speech and writing
• Household chores such as cleaning and shopping
• Accompanying to activities and leisure interests

Staffing Responsibility:

The position also includes an extended responsibility as a staffing coordinator, according to a rotating schedule among the assistants. This means that you will take calls from colleagues in case of sickness and be responsible for solving the staffing. If no one else can step in, you may need to cover the shift yourself. This assignment is paid separately.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
• Good physical fitness
• Swimming skills and ability to accompany and swim
• Non-smoker during working hours
• Do not use perfume or strongly scented products during work shifts
• Meticulous and has a good sense for details
• Calm, secure, and patient
• Ability to work with respect for self-determination - you assist me in my life
• Enjoy being around children
