Then the role of Senior Account Manager – Digital Transformation might be for you.
The Role
This is an advisory, value-based sales role focused on helping clients in the built environment sector solve complex business challenges through a combination of software, services, and strategic consulting.
You will be responsible for driving new business, developing existing customer relationships, and positioning AEC as a long-term and reliable partner in digital transformation.
Your Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within selected segments
- Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signing
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets and secure forecasts
Consultative Sales
- Engage senior decision-makers to understand business challenges and strategic goals
- Collaborate with AEC’s consulting team to translate customer needs into tailored solutions combining technology and services
- Clearly communicate value propositions focusing on ROI, efficiency gains, quality, and cost savings
Customer Ownership & Growth
- Develop and deepen relationships with existing customers
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within AEC’s offering
- Act as a strategic advisor for key customers
Collaboration
- Work closely with technical specialists, consultants, and delivery teams
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies and industry-specific offerings
- Share market insights and customer feedback to further develop AEC’s offerings
For this role, you may base yourself near one of our offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Malmö.
Qualifications
Experience
You have at least eight years of experience in B2B sales or similar commercial roles and have a documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. You are accustomed to value-based and consultative sales, where the focus is on understanding the customer's business challenges and creating long-term value.
Experience from the architecture, engineering, or construction and civil engineering industries is highly desirable and seen as a major asset in the role.
Experience in sales within digital transformation, software, or consulting services is highly desirable. You also have a good understanding of the construction industry, for example within BIM and digital collaboration platforms for construction or infrastructure projects.
Competencies & Skills
You have a strong ability to manage and influence various stakeholders, including executive teams and C-level decision-makers. Furthermore, you are comfortable selling complex and combined offerings that integrate software and services and possess a well-developed commercial understanding.
You have strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to close deals, along with very strong communication and presentation skills.
