LifeTrack is opening its first clinic in Gothenburg and is now looking for a licensed optometrist who wants to be involved from the start and contribute to developing the future of preventive and evidence-based health care.

This is a flexible role that suits you if you want to work part-time or hourly, remotely, and find it stimulating to combine classical optometry with modern technology and a broader health perspective.

About LifeTrack

LifeTrack is a new preventive health concept where several important health examinations are performed at the same time. The customer receives a comprehensive picture of their health through tests including blood samples, heart/vessels, dental health, vision, skin, lungs, physical function, and well-being.

Our ambition is to help people understand their health in time – before problems arise.

About the Role

As an optometrist at LifeTrack, you are responsible for ensuring high quality in our vision examinations and assessments of eye health.

The responsibilities include among other things:

• Review and quality-assure vision examinations conducted at the clinic
• Issue complete eyeglass prescriptions based on collected measurement data
• Assess fundus photographs and identify any abnormalities
• Interpret results from modern diagnostic equipment
• Evaluate when a customer should be referred to an ophthalmologist or other healthcare provider
• Participate in developing a new, structured approach to preventive health

Flexible and Modern Work Model

The work is highly flexible and can largely be performed entirely remotely. Assessment of fundus photographs, review of measurement results, and issuing eyeglass prescriptions can normally be done digitally, meaning that in practice you can work from any location and largely plan for yourself when the work should be performed.

This makes the role particularly attractive for you who are looking for a qualified and meaningful side gig that can easily be combined with another employment or your own business.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed optometrist
• Is confident in refraction and issuing eyeglass prescriptions
• Has experience assessing fundus photographs
• Works in a structured and quality-conscious manner
• Has good written communicative and pedagogical skills
• Is curious about new technology and new ways of working
• Wants to be part of building something new from the ground up

Experience with fundus cameras, tele-optometry, and preventive eye health is a plus.
