The Workplace

Meliva Gyn and Operation Nacka operates both a clinic and day-surgery facilities. Here, gynecologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and a receptionist work together. We work as a team but also independently within our respective areas of responsibility and professions.

About the Job

Our surgical department consists of one operating room and ten recovery beds. We perform procedures ranging from minor vaginal interventions to prolapse repairs and TVT procedures, which do not require the specialist expertise or equipment of an emergency hospital. We are a small team that supports and works closely with one another. On the recovery ward, you will work together with a nursing assistant.

Your main responsibilities include overseeing pre- and post-operative care, from the moment the patient arrives for surgery until they are discharged. This includes standard nursing duties and other common tasks on a recovery ward, such as administering premedication, pain relief, and monitoring. Your duties also include answering our post-operative phone line and assisting patients who have had temporary urinary catheters and need help removing them.

We use the electronic health record system Take Care.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have experience from emergency care.

You are professional in your interactions, positive, engaged, and confident in your role as a nurse. We place great emphasis on good collaboration and a welcoming attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You feel confident working independently.

About Us

Meliva is a broad healthcare group growing in the Swedish market, focusing on specialist care, primary care, child health services (BVC), and occupational health. With innovative healthcare solutions and a strong physical and digital presence, we have the ambition and knowledge to contribute to the development of a sustainable Swedish healthcare system with the patient, customer, and healthcare staff at the center.

Meliva’s journey in Sweden began in 2020 through a merger with several experienced healthcare providers, and we are already one of the country’s largest players in primary care with approximately 90,000 registered patients. We have solid experience behind us, with roots in the Finnish healthcare provider Mehiläinen, which has been a leader in sickness and healthcare in our Nordic neighbor country since 1909. Mehiläinen was also an early driver in the digitalization of healthcare via mobile and computer, a development that Meliva continues to drive in Sweden.

Just like Mehiläinen, Meliva proudly continues the work with life as its mission. No matter where you meet us, we always prioritize human care. Welcome to join us on this journey.
