One of our nurses is retiring, and we therefore need to expand our team. We are now looking for an experienced nurse for our Nephrology Clinic.

Our Employment Offer

The Nephrology Clinic DS is responsible for all nephrological specialist care in northern Stockholm. Our goal is to provide Sweden's best kidney care. We work every day to improve nursing and medical quality to achieve this goal. The clinic currently consists of an inpatient ward, a kidney center that includes a nephrology outpatient clinic and a self-dialysis clinic, as well as home dialysis clinics at Danderyd Hospital, Löwenströmska Hospital, and in Norrtälje.

We work from a patient-centered approach and have good results in employee surveys and patient satisfaction surveys. The clinic has an established collaboration with the patient association, the Swedish Kidney Association, and regularly arranges seminars for patients and their relatives.

You will work in new, beautiful premises, as the unit moved into a new building in the autumn of 2025.

The position is full-time at the Nephrology Clinic with working hours during the day, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.

Job Description

We offer you an exciting and developing position. The work aims to promote kidney prevention and raise patient awareness of the possibilities to influence the course of the disease themselves. In your role, you motivate patients toward a favorable lifestyle to prevent the kidney disease from progressing faster than necessary. Your task is to contribute, together with the team, to informed and involved patients. You will have your own nurse clinic for patients in all stages of kidney failure. The role also includes telephone advice, day-care work, and patient administration. In collaboration with the manager and other employees, you contribute to the development of the business, both within nursing and other areas, such as digitizing healthcare.

The role as a nurse at Kidney Center North also includes various types of responsibilities. Participating in the development of nursing and new digital working methods is a mandatory part of the work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• You are a registered nurse with several years of experience in the profession.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is of great importance.

Merits:

• Experience of nursing work within nephrological care and/or work at a clinic or health center is meritorious.
• Specialized education in nephrology as well as master's education: district nurse, palliative care, or medicine is also meritorious.

As a person, you are secure, positive, and proactive. You thrive working both in a team and independently. You are flexible and skilled at problem-solving.

You are accustomed to navigating digital environments and see new systems as an opportunity for improvement rather than a hindrance or something you must learn. You are usually quick to adopt new digital programs/platforms and are eager to implement new possibilities into your way of working.

We are looking for you who have a strong interest in prevention and patient-centered care. You have good pedagogical skills and enjoy motivating, informing, and educating patients and relatives.

You are comfortable with conversations where you meet patients in difficult situations. Sometimes you also need to deliver grim news. Your ability to communicate well with patients and relatives is central to succeeding in the role.
