Region Sörmland – Care Assistant for Summer Vacation Substitute Position 2026

Location: Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping

We are currently seeking care assistants for a summer vacation substitute position for the summer of 2026. The psychiatric clinics in Region Sörmland are responsible for treating mental health issues requiring specialist competence.

Your Responsibilities

Here, you will work with adult patients with mental health conditions requiring inpatient psychiatric care. We aim for an optimal functional level and increased quality of life for patients through nursing care based on a healthcare science perspective. We work in interdisciplinary teams, continuously developing together in a rewarding working climate.

Your Qualifications

• Approved education as a care assistant with psychiatry 2 (200 credits) and community-based psychiatry (100 credits) or forensic psychiatry (100 credits).
• Medical students.
• Nursing students.
• Psychology students.
• Other education or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

You are calm, confident, and responsible in your role as a care assistant, treating both patients and colleagues with respect. You value good collaboration. Since the work involves significant communication, we require good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Multilingualism is an asset. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment. Irregular working hours may occur as we operate 24/7. Start dates are ongoing based on agreement.
