Senior Sales Executive, Defense & Security
LEAF is looking for a senior sales professional who wants to own the Nordic business — not sit in the corner of a large organization waiting for leads.
Here, you will work with the Swedish Armed Forces, FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration), the Swedish Police Authority, MSB (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency), and other key players within the total defense sector. Sales cycles are long and documentation requirements are high — and this is exactly where a structured salesperson makes a difference.
You report directly to the owner, make decisive decisions daily, and have the space to shape the Nordic business.
THE ROLE
You drive the business from the initial dialogue to the delivered order: needs analysis with end-users, technical matching with suppliers, quotations, tender writing (LOU/LUFS), demos, delivery, and after-sales. You take over an established customer base and ongoing tenders from day one, while building new business in parallel. Travel is approximately 40–60 days/year — primarily Sweden and the Nordics, plus supplier visits in the USA and Europe.
You work closely with the owner and a colleague on the operational side. Decisions are made in the same room, often on the same day. It’s a double-edged sword: there is no large organization to hide in.
WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE
- Experience in technical B2B sales targeting defense, police, or security sectors — or relevant service experience with the drive to build sales expertise
- A functional network within at least one of FMV, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Police Authority, MSB, or similar Nordic organizations
- Comfort in both end-user environments and procurement meetings — able to switch between technical demos and commercial negotiations
- Excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Military or police background
- Experience with framework agreements or large public procurements
- Experience from EOD/CIED, ammunition services, CBRN, tactical IT, protective equipment, or weapons technology
- Previous security clearance or experience in security-classified operations
- International experience, preferably from NATO/PfP environments or export-controlled businesses (ITAR/EAR)
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
LOCATION Gothenburg. Hybrid work possible after the onboarding period.
EMPLOYMENT Full-time, permanent, with a six-month probation period.
START DATE According to agreement.
