About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and self-sufficient senior treasury backoffice consultant for a qualified interim assignment starting as soon as possible. The assignment is initially for approximately six months, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment for the right person.

You will become part of a small, competent treasury team and work closely with the Group Treasurer. The role is based in our client's modern offices at Stureplan in Stockholm. The assignment is operational in nature and suits you who thrive with responsibility, structure, and ownership in a central function.

Responsibilities

In this role, you take overall responsibility for the daily backoffice function within Treasury. The work begins each day with a review of bank balances and updating liquidity forecasts. You handle short-term liquidity, deposits, and overnight loans against the bank, ensuring payments are executed in the correct order and with proper authorization.

You work within an international structure and primarily handle flows in SEK and EUR.

The role includes administration of a comprehensive cash pool structure with approximately 500 sub-accounts, as well as handling intra-group loans, where you register transactions in the treasury system and ensure correct and up-to-date administration.

Furthermore, it involves handling corporate certificates in a largely automated process, where you receive and reconcile notes, ensure signing, and verify that the entire flow functions correctly. An important part of the assignment is also participating in month-end and quarter-end closings, where you work on accounting-related account reconciliations together with the finance and accounting function. This includes, among other things, interest costs related to debt instruments and derivatives.

You monitor market valuations of derivatives, prepare documentation for CSA calls, and ensure ongoing administration regarding signatures as well as interest and coupon payments related to bond financing. Overall, this is a broad assignment that combines operational administration with qualified reconciliation and analysis work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a senior treasury consultant with solid experience in treasury backoffice, preferably with elements of middle office and accounting-related work. You are confident in account reconciliations, can identify and analyze discrepancies, and have a good understanding of how cash flows, debt development, and financing instruments are interconnected.

You have worked in treasury systems previously (Treasury System experience is meritorious but not a requirement) and are accustomed to working independently in environments where you are expected to quickly take responsibility for a whole function. As a person, you are meticulous, analytical, and structured, with a professional and non-hierarchical approach. You thrive in a data-driven team with direct communication and a focus on quality and delivery.
