About the Role

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for Muskövarvet – a central role in a technologically advanced and security-cleared environment. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring projects within the shipyard operations, with a focus on delivery, quality, economics, and customer satisfaction.

The role involves close collaboration with the Production Manager, Department Heads, and Foremen. You have clear responsibility for your projects and are expected to ensure that work is conducted efficiently and in accordance with customer requirements, internal processes, and set goals.

The position is both operational and coordinating, where you drive projects from planning to delivery and post-calculation. You play a key role in creating structure, clarity, and momentum in the projects.

Note: Muskövarvet is a security-protected workplace. This means you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and be able to pass a security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring projects throughout their entire lifecycle. Your main areas of responsibility include:

Planning

  • Plan projects and assignments in the company's planning tools

  • Ensure resources, competence, and feasibility

  • Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders

Project Control

  • Lead projects according to set goals, schedules, and requirements

  • Communicate delivery prerequisites to relevant parties

  • Identify, analyze, and handle deviations

  • Ensure efficient resource flow in production

Follow-up

  • Monitor production time, deliveries, and financial outcomes

  • Update plans and ensure progress

  • Maintain continuous dialogue with customers and internal stakeholders

Delivery and Closure

  • Ensure projects are delivered according to contract

  • Initiate invoicing and quality-assure cost documentation

  • Conduct post-calculations and analyze deviations

Other Responsibilities

  • Responsible for customer and supplier contacts within projects

  • Contribute to improvement work and development of working methods

  • Report status, risks, and needs to the Production Manager

Location: Muskö, Stockholm

Scope: Full-time

Working Hours: Mon-Thu 7-16, Fri 7-13:30

About You

You are a structured and responsible person with the ability to drive multiple projects in parallel. You have a natural focus on planning, follow-up, and delivery, and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces.

You are communicative and clear in your leadership style, while also being receptive and solution-oriented. You have the ability to handle changes and deviations in a professional manner and ensure that projects move forward even in complex situations. You thrive in an operation where safety, quality, and structure are crucial.

Qualifications
  • Experience in project management or a similar role

  • Experience from industrial or technical operations

  • Good organizational and administrative skills

  • Good computer skills

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, project management, or economics

  • Experience in costing, planning, or production control

  • Experience from shipyard operations, workshops, or the defense industry

  • Experience in customer responsibility and business relations

About the Client

Muskövarvet AB is a sought-after and recognized maintenance and repair shipyard established in 2005 and part of the defense group Saab since 2018. The operations are primarily conducted at the Naval Base in Muskö, approximately 60 km south of Stockholm.

The shipyard works with holistic solutions for both military and civilian vessels – from design, service, and technical support to repairs, conversions, and maintenance, for vessels up to approximately 50 tons. Customers include civilian shipowners and virtually all public shipowners, with the Swedish Armed Forces being the largest client.
