J Gruppen is currently recruiting a Laser Operator for a full-time position. In this role, you will become a key person in our production, with long-term responsibility for laser processing, quality, and delivery precision. The position offers a stable work environment with clear development opportunities within an expanding company.

At our workshop, we manufacture components and construction details that are further assembled by our installation teams at the customer site – primarily in Sweden, the USA, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The work performed at the workshop forms the foundation for automation plants worldwide.

About J Gruppen

J Gruppen is an independent contractor within mechanical and electrical installations, with headquarters in Sweden and offices in the USA and Dubai. We are specialists in the assembly and maintenance of crane systems, conveyor plants, and Autostore solutions. The workshop is the heart of our production – this is where the foundation for every project is created.

Main Responsibilities

• Programming, setup, and operation of laser machines
• Job preparation and optimization of setup times for efficient production
• Quality control, measurement, and documentation according to current procedures
• Daily maintenance and supervision of the machine fleet
• Material handling with forklift and overhead crane
• Close collaboration with design, planning, and production

Candidate Profile

• Documented experience in laser processing
• Good ability to read drawings and interpret tolerances
• Experience with modern laser systems (e.g., Bystronic, Trumpf, or Amada)
• Responsible, structured, and accustomed to working at a fast pace
• Good knowledge of Swedish and/or English

Qualifications that are Meritorious

• Experience with CNC machining (turning, milling, or equivalent)
• Experience with sheet metal processing, press braking, or welding
• Forklift license and overhead crane certificate
• Experience with CAD/CAM (e.g., Radan, SigmaNEST, or equivalent)
