Do you want to work with advanced underwater technology in a growing tech company?

At Ocean Robotics International, we develop and build professional ROV systems for customers within the marine industry, research, and defense-related operations. Our systems are used in demanding environments where quality, functionality, and reliability are crucial.

We are now looking for a hands-on systems engineer who also wants to be involved in the construction, testing, installation, and training related to our systems.

About the role

This is a broad and varied role where you will work both practically and technically close to our products and customers. The role involves close collaboration with development, production, and sales – making the work multifaceted, eventful, and developmental.

The work includes, among other things:

  • Technical support to customers and partners
  • Troubleshooting of electronics, mechanics, and systems
  • Construction and assembly of ROV systems
  • Testing and verification prior to delivery
  • Service and repairs
  • Documentation and minor improvement work
  • Installation and commissioning at customer sites
  • Training customers in our systems and methods
  • Technical support and assistance during customer projects and operations

You will be a key part of driving daily support while simultaneously developing structures, processes, and methods for a growing international support organization.

The position occasionally involves travel, both within Sweden and internationally.

We are looking for you who

We believe you are a hands-on technician with a strong interest in technology and a desire to solve problems.

You do not need to know everything from the start or meet every single criterion – the most important things are the right attitude, technical drive, and ability to take responsibility.

We would appreciate it if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Technical support or service technology
  • Electrical, electronics, or mechatronics
  • Mechanical assembly or system construction
  • Troubleshooting and testing
  • Networking or basic IT/system knowledge
  • Marine technology, vehicles, automation, or industrial equipment
  • Customer contact, training, or technical advisory

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

  • ROV or underwater technology
  • Defense or industrial systems
  • Linux, networking, or IP-based systems
  • CAD or technical documentation

As a person, we believe you are:

  • Curious and solution-oriented
  • Self-initiative but humble
  • Structured and quality-conscious
  • Service-oriented and communicative
  • Confident in meeting and training customers

What we offer

Here, you get to work in a smaller tech company where ideas quickly become reality and where every employee makes a difference.

You will get:

  • To work with advanced and exciting technology
  • To be involved in the entire chain – from construction to support and field installation
  • Great opportunities to influence and develop
  • Short decision-making paths and close collaboration
  • An engaged team with high technical competence

Please send your CV and preferably a few lines about yourself.
