Biomedical Analyst / Nurse with Specialist Function at the Arrhythmia Unit, Region Västerbotten

The Heart Centre in Umeå aims to provide the best care for heart patients in northern Sweden. We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for the county's patients.

The Heart Centre includes the Cardiology Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, PCI Lab, Arrhythmia Unit, Clinical Physiology, and the Centre for Cardiovascular Genetics. We investigate, treat, and operate on patients from the entire northern region suffering from heart, lung, and coronary artery diseases. By collaborating across boundaries, maintaining efficient care chains, working with continuous improvement, and employing competent staff, we can offer care of very high quality. In close collaboration with the university, we conduct research, development, and education.

The Arrhythmia Unit is an innovative unit in constant development. Research is conducted here that keeps us at the forefront with new modern methods. We examine and treat patients with heart rhythm disorders. We perform catheter ablations, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and hemodynamic heart catheterizations. We also have a pacemaker/ICD clinic and analyze various types of long-term ECGs. The Arrhythmia Unit is part of the Heart Centre in Umeå, which is highly ranked among Sweden's best cardiac care facilities.

We are 18 employees working in three labs where various types of procedures are performed. At the Arrhythmia Unit, we work Monday to Friday, and working hours are scheduled based on operational needs. Here, you will find varied and developmental work where your skills are utilized for the benefit of the operation and the patient. The structure of the operation also offers opportunities for clinical career paths where competence is utilized for the benefit of the operation and the patient. We collaborate in teams with Nursing Assistants, Biomedical Analysts, Nurses, Ward Managers, and Doctors.

Job Responsibilities

As a Biomedical Analyst/Nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You will perform catheter ablations, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and hemodynamic heart catheterizations, as well as pacemaker/ICD clinic visits and analyses of various types of long-term ECGs. We have developed specific roles for BMA and Nurse with specialist functions for the clinic operations. Our operations are conducted in three high-tech labs, at the clinic, and in nearby premises.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed Biomedical Analyst within Clinical Physiology, or alternatively a licensed Nurse. It is meritorious if you have experience working within cardiac care.
