Registered Nurse for ICU – Lycksele Hospital

Lycksele Hospital is a small, modern, and well-equipped emergency hospital with maternity services. The catchment area covers the inland and mountain districts of Västerbotten. If you want to live close to nature, Lycksele is hard to beat! The area, with a population of 40,000, is as large in area as Switzerland.

The ICU is part of the Surgical Centre Southern Lapland. This also includes the operating department, central sterile services department, anaesthesia, surgical outpatient clinic, and surgical ward. Together, we are responsible for intensive care, including HIA (High Dependency Unit), postoperative care, and anaesthesia. We also staff the county's ambulance helicopter. We have a good working climate and approximately 40 employees from various professions.

Job Description

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe.

In this role, you are responsible for the care of intensive care patients with failure of their vital functions due to operations, accidents, or more serious medical conditions. As we care for patients from many categories, our knowledge develops into a unique and broad knowledge base. You work in close collaboration with other professions, forming a team around the patient and their relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with an interest in intensive care.

You preferably have a few years of experience with a clearly stated goal of seeking further education in the field. Your introduction is adapted to your knowledge and previous experience.

Experience from working in an intensive care unit is meritorious, as is experience in emergency care. You have the ability to prioritize, are flexible, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills and see the benefits of teamwork, while also possessing the ability to work independently. You also actively contribute to a good working environment.
