About the Role

As an Electronics Engineer at BAE Systems Bofors, you will work in a technology-intensive development environment where you are involved in the entire chain – from concept and requirement work to design, testing, and verified product. The role is product-oriented and technically broad, encompassing everything from analog and digital electronics to work with embedded systems.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in mechanics, software, system development, and production to ensure that the electronics function optimally together with other subsystems. Depending on the project and interest, there is also an opportunity to work in areas such as FPGA, EMC, radio, antenna technology, and robust design for demanding environments.

The role suits you if you thrive with a combination of design work and practical testing and laboratory work, and if you enjoy testing, measuring, troubleshooting, and developing advanced technical solutions.

This is a direct recruitment. The recruitment process is handled by AxÖ Consulting, but you are employed directly by BAE Systems Bofors.

Your Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things:

• Develop and further develop electronics at the module and circuit board level
• Conduct technical analyses and concept studies
• Work with analog and digital design
• Contribute to the development of embedded systems when projects require it
• Integrate, test, and verify electronics in subsystems and complete products
• Troubleshoot and optimize designs in a laboratory environment
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, system, and production teams
• Document and quality-assure design work

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need a solid technical foundation and experience working with electronics in product-oriented and technically demanding environments. You have a university or civil engineering degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent competence. Through several years of experience in electronics development, you have built confidence both theoretically and practically.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience from technology-intensive environments with high demands on quality and reliability
• Several years of experience in electronics development
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written

It is meritorious if you have experience with embedded systems and some understanding of robust design in demanding environments. Knowledge in EMC, radio/RF, or antenna technology is meritorious, as is experience with VHDL or other hardware description languages. If you have also worked in safety-critical or high-tech industries, it will further strengthen your profile.
