Nurse for Night Scheduling – Psychiatric Clinic, Nyköping Hospital
We are looking for a nurse with night scheduling responsibilities who, together with us, wants to further develop high-quality and patient-safe specialized psychiatric care in southern and western Sörmland!
As our new colleague, you will play a key role in developing our inpatient psychiatric care. We are a forward-thinking clinic that welcomes innovative ideas.
About Us
The Adult Psychiatry Clinic is part of the Psychiatry and Disability Division. The mission of the unit is to provide specialized psychiatric care to adult citizens with severe mental illness in southern and western Sörmland. The goal of the activity is to achieve improved mental health, quality of life, and functional capacity for our patients.
The Psychiatric Clinic in Nyköping is a small and well-functioning clinic located within the hospital, with opportunities for collaboration with somatic clinics. The clinic has two inpatient wards, one focused on intensive care/addiction and the other on general psychiatrosis/psychosis. Our psychiatric outpatient care is divided into general psychiatry, psychosis, and addiction, and we have outpatient clinics in both Nyköping and Katrineholm.
Are you a nurse with an interest and experience in psychiatry?
Do you want to feel both involved and responsible in your job?
If this sounds interesting, perhaps you are our new colleague!
We have a positive approach to competence development, and we see supervision as a natural part of the work.
Work Environment and Team
The General Psychiatry/Psychosis ward works with patients suffering from affective disorders, eating disorders, self-harm behavior, and psychosis. The ward has a total of 16 beds, of which 7 are designated for psychotic conditions requiring inpatient care. The staff group consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and care assistants.
The work group consists of a mix of employees with many years of experience working at the clinic, as well as newly recruited employees with a burning interest and curiosity, creating a stimulating atmosphere in the workplace. We are in constant development; we work to improve the employees' work environment, which gives us the opportunity to provide good care to our patients, as well as stimulate employees to continue developing on a professional and personal level.
Your Responsibilities
As a nurse, you lead the team and are ultimately responsible for nursing care. You should lead the work in consensus with the other professional groups in the team. Your other tasks include documentation, medication distribution, and conversations with patients and relatives.
We are looking for you who want to help develop a psychiatric intensive care unit based on evidence-based nursing.
Your Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage.
As a person, you are stable and confident in your professional role. You are responsible, able to take initiative, and at the same time a team player. In your interaction with patients, you have a professional attitude and a holistic view of the human being. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
