If you are positive, meticulous, and flexible, you could be one of us.
About the Unit
The main task of the Naval Staff is to lead, develop, and maintain the naval units. Our mission is to operate year-round, around the clock, to meet every threat at any time. Both on the coast and at sea. The Naval Staff's headquarters is established at the Muskö base in the Stockholm archipelago, but it is also present at Berga, in Karlskrona, Gothenburg, and Visby. The unit conducts exercises and operations nationally and internationally. This requires us to operate and function in various types of environments and situations. As a sailor/soldier at the Naval Staff, you are a crucial piece of the puzzle for the navy to fulfill its missions.
Main Responsibilities
Naval Radio has modernly equipped communication command centers in rock caverns. The main task is to ensure the Swedish Armed Forces' communications with military units, both on fixed systems and via radio. Naval Radio participates in and supports national and international active operations, exercises, testing, and trial activities. The operations run 24/7 year-round, which means scheduled shift work both on weekdays and weekends. During shift work, you work relatively long shifts. Overnight accommodation is available. Normally, you work a continuous shift scheduled for either day or night, followed by time off. During exercises and other conditions, the schedule changes to fit the ongoing operations.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
The Swedish Armed Forces are undergoing extensive development work to build a stronger defense against the backdrop of a deteriorating international situation and a new defense policy orientation focusing on national defense. Leading a stronger defense aims to increase robustness, simplify command and control arrangements, and increase the prerequisites for mission tactics through the decentralization of mandates and responsibilities.
As part of this work, the Swedish Armed Forces have organized a Naval Staff to lead the Naval units. The Naval Staff is established at Muskö in Haninge Municipality.
The Swedish Armed Forces have a strong code of conduct based on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good opportunities for internal career mobility, wellness programs, and a good balance between work and private life.
An employment with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
A security investigation with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position.
A CV and cover letter must be attached to the application for employment. If you proceed in the employment process, certified copies of grades and certificates must always be presented.
Calls from external recruitment agencies and salespeople are declined.
