About the Role

Ballistic protection encompasses everything from soldier-carried equipment to active protection systems on combat vehicles and tanks.

As a Systems Engineer within ballistic protection and survivability, you will support the implementation of projects within research and technology development as well as procurement. You contribute to ensuring that equipment meets established requirements over time. You are involved in various parts of project implementation and serve as a technical support for both project managers and product managers.

The role involves participating in the planning of assignments and projects, as well as in the development of specifications, technical documentation, and commercial basis for tenders. The role involves participating in projects where the focus is on future technology.

You participate in requirement reviews and evaluations, and follow up on suppliers' work through, for example, project meetings and technical audits. The work also includes contributing to technical investigations and analyses related to the equipment. You work independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues and partners.

Furthermore, you are involved in the handover of equipment to the Swedish Armed Forces, as well as in the work of maintaining and following up on delivered systems in close collaboration with the customer. You will also participate in the development work of the unit and section. The role also involves participation in international cooperation within the field.

The position is located in Stockholm. Business travel occurs, both domestic and international.

About You

We are looking for you who are educated/have a degree as a civil or university engineer, or have equivalent competence acquired in another way that FMV assesses as equivalent. You have a few years of relevant work experience as an engineer and good knowledge of materials technology. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

If you have previous experience from the defense sector as well as experience with ballistic protection, we see this as an advantage. Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' systems is meritorious, as is holding a B driver's license.
