Do you want to work with analysis, follow-up, and development in an organization that strengthens both the individual and society? Medborgarskolan is now looking for a Business Analyst who wants to contribute to developing our quality work.
Medborgarskolan is a study association that strengthens both individual development and society's democratic resilience. Our activities inspire lifelong learning and make adult education relevant to the general public of all ages.
We now need to strengthen the Office of Development and Follow-up with another Business Analyst. Today, the unit consists of a Development Manager and two Business Analysts. The Office has overall responsibility for systematic quality work and national operational control of adult education, and is responsible for a cohesive development and follow-up of operations as well as need-adapted educational initiatives. The position involves both collaborative and independent work.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- coordinate and follow up on the quality work of adult education activities
- participate in the unit's work with follow-up and development of systematic quality work
- perform result follow-up, produce and analyze statistics
- prepare risk analyses, national routines, steering documents, and guides
- lead and participate in development projects
- plan and implement educational initiatives
Quality assurance through internal control is an important part of the role, as is quality and operational reporting to the Swedish Council for Adult Education. The assignment includes following up on the results of adult education activities linked to goals by compiling and analyzing operational statistics communicated to the organization. In your role, you are an important support for operations where dialogue, information, and coordination are key parts of the work.
We would appreciate it if you had experience or interest in developing data-driven working methods, for example using Power BI and AI. Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape how we use data for better analysis, goal follow-up, and decision-making. In these areas, we see great potential for new methods and solutions that both optimize and streamline our way of handling data.
The location for the central office is Uppsala, where we offer the possibility of remote work. For you with the right qualifications, we are open to a dialogue regarding placement, and there may potentially be opportunities for other locations in the country with a remote setup.
Qualifications
We are primarily looking for you who have work experience and relevant academic education in political science, social sciences, or equivalent competence, preferably with an emphasis on statistics, quality, or investigation. The position requires good ability to handle different systems for operational follow-up. Basic knowledge of statistics and very good skills in Excel are required. You have an analytical ability and enjoy working with numerical data that you can turn into relevant decision support for operations. You work in a structured, independent manner with a focus on goal- and result-based management, and thrive in a coordinating role.
We see that you have good pedagogical and communicative skills, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Merits
A few years of experience from working within study associations or similar organizations in civil society is meritorious. Also, experience of quality work and operational follow-up within adult education, as well as good knowledge of the common operational system Gustav for adult education.
