For summer & autumn 2026, we are looking for dedicated employees for Kebnekaise and Abisko who enjoy sharing themselves and want to deliver world-class guest service. Read more about the facilities here.

Life at a mountain station is varied, exciting, and educational – just like a day in the mountains can be. In addition to accommodation, food, and nature experiences, our operations are built on human interaction. In meeting our guests, we create memories, deliver knowledge, and offer experiences beyond the ordinary.

As a mountain guide, you are a key part of ensuring the guest receives a memorable overall experience from the mountain station. Here, you will take significant responsibility for fulfilling guests' expectations for adventure – both in the small and the big. Our core values thoughtful, curious, authentic, professional and engaged permeate our entire organization and way of working.

What does the role of mountain guide entail?

  • You guide groups during day and evening hours, together with a colleague or alone, primarily in the local area but also on multi-day tours.
  • Work in the rental/information desk, helping guests rent equipment for upcoming adventures and answering questions about weather, tours, and sharing tips.
  • Mentor interns.
  • Support the mountain station with other tasks as needed.

Who are you?

  • REQUIREMENT: Hold the Swedish Mountain Guide Certificate (Fjälledarnormen) or equivalent.
  • Have a strong safety mindset.
  • Are in good physical shape, as guiding can last for hours and be physically demanding.
  • A team player who loves to collaborate and appreciates order and structure.
  • Take great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English. Other languages are an advantage.
  • Hold a valid B-driver's license.

We value your drive, your communication skills, and your ability to create the best conditions for guest interactions that align with the STF values thoughtful, curious, authentic, professional and engaged.

What you can expect as an employee:

  • Employment type: Seasonal work.
  • Full-time equivalent: 85–100%.
  • Monthly salary according to collective agreement: Visita/HRF Green National Agreement and Tourist Supplement.
  • Work schedule follows the needs of the operation, involving work on weekdays and weekends, during both day and evening hours.
  • Meal deduction according to collective agreement, regulated by the Swedish Tax Agency.

What do we offer?

  • Staff accommodation in exchange for a rent deduction, together with colleagues at the mountain station.
  • Internal training relevant to your role, e.g., sustainability & hospitality.
  • Leisure time with the mountains right outside your door.
  • Development opportunities within STF.
  • Lifelong memories and experience from the tourism industry.
